Build route reference

Vampire Crawlers Builds

Use these routes as decision frameworks: identify the core card, protect the run while the pair appears, then pivot when the relic, Crawler trigger, or dungeon pressure points somewhere else.

Builds are route decisions

Vampire Crawlers builds change with the hand, relics, Crawler triggers, and dungeon pressure. Each route below is written as core pieces, formation logic, and pivot options rather than a fixed shopping list.

Stable first three hours route

Beginner Curve Build

Pick cards that still do something when the hand is awkward. Use the recipe book and early sustain targets to reduce failed runs.

Best character fit

Any early crawler

Difficulty

★☆☆☆☆

Early

Take one reliable weapon, one sustain or defensive piece, then keep the deck small enough to find the same pieces again.

Mid

Commit to one evolution target. If Garlic or Whip appears early, the sustain path is usually easier to pilot.

Late

After the first evolution, add damage or cooldown pieces. Do not chase every possible recipe in one run.

Weakness

Damage ceiling is lower than focused boss-kill builds.

Pivot

If the sustain pair is missing, pivot to Magic Wand + Tome or King Bible + Spellbinder.

Forgiving route for learning dungeons

Survival Starter

Trade peak damage for cleaner decisions. This is the build for players who keep dying before seeing late-game systems.

Best character fit

Defensive or forgiving characters

Difficulty

★★☆☆☆

Early

Choose sustain, shield, or armor pieces before narrow damage upgrades.

Mid

Once the run is stable, add one map or control piece so you can plan resource pickups.

Late

Convert excess safety into one reliable evolution instead of spreading upgrades across weak cards.

Weakness

Slow clears can time out or struggle with dense waves.

Pivot

If Laurel pieces do not appear, use Runetracer + Armor as a control substitute.

Boss-focused damage route

High Damage Chain

Build one clean damage line, then use gem or repeat triggers to multiply it instead of adding random side weapons.

Best character fit

Characters with strong damage scaling

Difficulty

★★★★☆

Core relics
Early

Avoid slow defensive picks unless they protect the damage engine.

Mid

Upgrade the main damage card and its required partner first. Missing one partner is worse than having many half-built lines.

Late

Use extra resources on cooldown, projectile count, or repeat triggers after the first boss-capable evolution.

Weakness

Punishing if the first target pair never appears.

Pivot

If Fire Wand is blocked, pivot to Knife + Bracer or Cross + Clover.

Five-second answer for Garlic starts

Garlic Sustain Route

When Garlic appears, search for the sustain partner first. This gives beginners a clear next pickup instead of a vague build plan.

Best character fit

Any run that finds Garlic early

Difficulty

★☆☆☆☆

Core relics
Target results
Early

Use Garlic as the anchor and search the synthesis table for Soul Eater requirements.

Mid

Add area or pickup support so sustain also clears dense waves.

Late

Pair with a second clear or boss tool. Sustain alone rarely finishes the hardest fights fast.

Weakness

Can become safe but slow without a second damage target.

Pivot

If the partner item is missing, keep Garlic as safety and pivot to Santa Water or King Bible lines.
